it's simpler, it's freeing, and I love that.

I've been here for over six years, and my site was previously known as The Purposeful Housewife, so you may have been confused when you first got here. I have spent the last year or so coaching other mamas in living with purpose and intention in their homes.

I spent the first four years of my motherhood completely miserable, to be honest. I was overwhelmed, overworked, battling a heavy depression, and just barely scraping by in life. I was stuck in survival mode and there seemed to be no way out. When I began to simplify and remove the unnecessary things that were taking up all my time, I discovered a light at the end of the tunnel.

Everything got lighter, simpler, better. I finally shook my depression and it never came back. I had more free time, I was actually enjoying and playing with my kids, I was happier, I was fulfilled, I was able to serve my family and be the best version of myself. Now I spend my free time helping my fellow women get to that same place in their lives.

I rode an elephant when I was six years old. Her name was Ellie. It was awesome.

My pet peeve is when people hang an air freshener in their car and keep the paper halfway on. Also anytime her husband chews...

My favorite animal? Cats. I have plans to own about seventeen of them when my kids leave the house...

My favorite thing to do on a hard day of motherhood is hit the Starbucks drive-thru for a coffee, drive to the park, and listen to a podcast while I watch the kids get their energy out.

I love getting dressed and piecing outfits together. When it's date night, I'll stand in my closet and feel like a kid in a candy shop picking out what I'm going to wear to dinner. Styling myself and my home are two things I absolutely love doing.

My third-born child weighed eleven pounds at birth (c-section, don't worry). No diabetes or anything, just a giant baby boy. They called in student doctors to look at him, and had to get diapers for him from the children's wing because the ones on the baby floor didn't fit him...

I'm legitimately claustrophobic (which really sucks when you're in an elevator with strangers).

I practice what I preach, and only stay active on ONE social media platform so that I can be a present mama for my kids (being a pro blogger usually means spending 24/7 on social media). If you want to see me and my day-to-day life, Instagram is where I'l be!

I'm mildly obsessed with cats and I drink coffee like water (you probably think I'm kidding. Think again.)

When I'm not chasing down kids, managing my business, and watching I Love Lucy reruns, I'm at the gym trying to force myself to like running. I don't think it's gonna happen...
