The Becoming Her Blueprint leverages neuroscience and proven strategies to help you rewire your habits and mindset, empowering you to systematically transform your life and become the next level version of yourself.

This podcast interview was so, so important to me. I sat down with Stephanie, the host of the 500 Seconds To Joy Podcast, and she interviewed me about my faith journey with money. In most Christian circles money is viewed as kind of a dirty word. And I’ve definitely struggled with going from being a Christian and living below the American poverty line to being a Christian and living on the polar opposite end of the spectrum as a successful business woman and breadwinner for my family.

I’ve had to work through a lot of fear, doubt, worry and confusion when it comes to the issue of wealth, and I’ve had to break a lot of the beliefs that were taught to me growing up. But I’ve learned so much and I’m so excited for you to hear this conversation. I get really amped up in this interview because I so want you to feel empowered in your finances because as Chris Harder says, “When good people make good money, they do great things.”

In This Episode Allie and Stephanie Discuss:

  • Allie’s journey from broke stay-at-home mom to successful business woman

  • Why making money isn’t evil

  • The common fear that money is going to “change” us

  • How to keep yourself from being obsessed with money

  • Using money for good

  • Working through money blocks

Mom life. We are surrounded with the message that it’s the tired life. The no-time-for-myself life. The hard life. And while it is hard and full of lots of servitude, the idea that motherhood means a joyless life is something I am passionate about putting a stop to. I’m on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes till bedtime, at least most days. I want you to stop cleaning up after your kid’s childhood and start being present for it. Start enjoying it. I believe in John 10:10 “that we are called to abundant life” and I know mothers are not excluded from that promise. Join me in conversations about simplicity, minimalism and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in your motherhood. I’m Allie Casazza and this is The Purpose Show.

Hey beauties! Okay, I haven’t done this before, but I had this conversation in an interview that I did for another podcast and I loved it so much I decided to ask the host of the other show if I could have the audio to put on my own podcast and share with you guys. And she was so kind and she said yes. What you’re going to hear today is actually a really important conversation, but it’s an interview that I did for the 500 Seconds To Joy Podcast. Stephanie is the host. She’s incredible. She’s so sweet. She’s really encouraging.

It is a Christian podcast, so if you are in that camp and you like that kind of stuff, go over there and listen to her show. She’s just absolutely incredible and she’s just one of the most authentic people I’ve ever spent time with. I loved talking with her.

This podcast interview was so important for me. You’ll hear that I get really amped up, passionate, and I start kind of preaching. I feel really passionately about the issue of wealth and being a Christian.

I’ve shared in the past before, really candidly, about my faith journey and how there’s been so many times in my life that I’ve been almost embarrassed to even call myself a Christian because of the way that I’ve seen other Christians act, speak, and treat people. I don’t believe some of the same things that other Christians believe about people. I’ve felt like I don’t belong anywhere. So, if you’ve ever felt like that, please know that I understand.

But among other issues, money is one of the issues that I have felt differently in, that I have felt confused and had to really dive in to time with God, but also the Bible, and figuring out what do I do with this?

Because of my story, because of coming from living under the poverty line, under America’s poverty line, and moving into having a successful business, building wealth, and literally going to the polar opposite end of the spectrum being in the 1%, it was insane and it brought up all kinds of fear, doubt, and worry in me.

I want to have a conversation about this because I’ve learned so much. This is something that I’ve really become passionate about and I’m excited for you to hear this conversation. So, I hope it opens up your brain, helps you, and that you find it as empowering as I found it to talk about this.

STEPHANIE: Hi Allie!

ALLIE: Hi! Thank you so much for inviting me to be here! I love your podcast title and what you do and I’m really excited to talk with you!

STEPHANIE: Oh, thank you. I’m excited to talk with you too, and I’m really honored to have you on the podcast today.

You have really positively impacted my family and just the idea of life minimalism…I love that. So, thank you for being here!

You’re going to be diving into an important message today that is often taboo to talk about, but we are going there. We’re going to talk about money everybody!

Before we get into the truth you’re going to share with us, I would like you to briefly introduce yourself for those of my listeners who don’t know you. I think most of my listeners know you already, but just a quick one-minute intro of who you are, your family, and what you do. Then also if you could share your top three passions besides your faith, family and business.

ALLIE: I’m Allie. I’m married to Brian. We’ve been married for about 12 and a half years and we have four kids. My only girl is my oldest, she’s 10. And then we have three boys. I won’t even think through their ages right now… No, okay, I got it. They’re 8, 7, & 5. Sometimes I lose it and I’m like, “Wait, where are we on birthdays and how old are they?”

I help overwhelmed women simplify their homes and their lives so that they have more space and time to focus on what matters to them. And that’s kind of my life and how I spend my time.

And three passions other than those main three things. Okay, motherhood not having to be super overwhelming and difficult all the time. I feel like that’s the belief and I’m super passionate about blasting that out of the water. Women in business is another passion of mine. Actually, and this is not because we’re talking about this today, but I said, “Yes” to this interview because you wanted to talk about my third passion which is helping Christian people understand that wealth is important, good, and God’s will for a lot of us.

STEPHANIE: Thank you! Great! You did a great job sharing your other passions.

ALLIE: Yeah, that’s no problem for me.

STEPHANIE: Yeah, you’re introspective enough. You know.

So you have these excellent digital courses. You unburden women, you make mom-life lighter, and you really share this realistic minimalism. Your podcast is just jam packed with a lot of excellent content. I am a listener.

Today though, like I said, we’re going to be talking about a slightly different message you’ve been wanting to spread to the world. I’m excited that my listeners are going to hear from you today and we’re going to talk about building wealth as a Christian specifically.

ALLIE: Well, here’s the thing that I love. First of all, I have not always been wealthy. My husband and I got married really young and just kind of fell backward into being parents and building a life. It happened so quickly and so we actually were, I always say broke but it really doesn’t do it justice. It was like making decisions like can we get toothpaste today? Can we stretch this money to even feed our family for the next couple of days, let alone to the next pay period? I’m talking evictions, repossessions, and things like that. It was below poverty line for this country. It was really, really hard and it was all consuming brokeness.

And what I mean by that is when you are broke or you don’t have a lot of money, your thoughts are pretty often consumed with making the dollar stretch and making it work. Making this be okay, paying bills, making ends meet, right? And what you’re not thinking about is basically everything else.

And so, when I started my business and I pulled my husband out of his 9-5 and I became the breadwinner, I really struggled. First of all, being a woman and being the one that was not just making money but making more money than my husband, then transitioning to making all the money, and then transitioning into making more money than I have ever seen in my life, that I ever thought was possible. And then transitioning into being a goal-oriented wealth mindset woman.

I really went from being a broke stay-at-home mom (and that was just how I thought things were going to go for forever) to being a CEO, creating jobs for people, and having their families kind of on my back because it’s riding on my business and how successful it is or isn’t, and really running toward money and wealth. And that was really hard, that process. It was very messy and it’s probably a conversation for another day to go down that part of it, but it was really, really difficult.

So, I learned that when we were focused on trying to make ends meet and stretching money, that was a full time job. And a lot of the conversations between my husband and I were about contacting the landlord and asking if we could pay rent late this month and the stress that comes with a conversation like that. Just waking up knowing, “Oh, it’s the first of the month and we just don’t have rent.” It was like that.

And now—I’m just going to give you guys the contrast now so you can see where I’m going—now the thought is how can we feed other people who don’t have food? How can we provide for other people who don’t have a means to provide for themselves? How can we give more? I have this goal right now to give $13,000 to the organization that gives home, food, and education to women in Ethiopia who would have otherwise been sex-trafficked because they’ve aged out of the orphanage. And I’m like, “How can we get to that goal faster?”

This is what is consuming my mind. And that is Kingdom work. It’s not that being a mom is not, it’s not that providing for your family is not Kingdom work. It all is. What I’ve learned though is that when you are broke and when you are not in possession of wealth, your mind only has so many calories to burn, right? It only has so much energy and a large portion of it is spent trying to figure out your own stuff.

When you have wealth, all of that brain space is freed up and you can do more things for other people. You can do more good. And I’m finding that there’s a lot of power in that.

If Christians would just stop being so afraid of money, wealth, believing that money is the root of all evil and all these things that have been seriously mistranslated (much like women in the church and women period), then I think the world would be a lot different because as Chris Harder says all the time, “When good people make good money, they do great things.”

I was struggling with this and it was at the point where I was making a lot of money, my husband was away from his job and we were doing this together. You know, it’s not BrianandAllieCasazza.com; it’s AllieCasazza.com. And so, I found myself pulling my husband more into it than he actually is and being like, “Oh, he’s working too. We’re doing it together.” No, we’re not. He’s supporting me. It’s my business. I’m the one doing all the creating. I’m the one behind it. Why couldn’t I own that? Why was I struggling with the identity of breadwinner?

That’s what I was struggling with and God really showed me, if you don’t show all the way up and be what I need you to be, there are people who will not get what they need. They will not be fed. They will not be rescued. They will not have the help that they need because it’s you that I have put this on your heart to help these people. And I can do this another way, but I want to use you to do this. And it’s important that you show up. I felt like He gave me permission.

What I’ve realized is that God has already given us permission to be wealthy. When we are wealthy, we can spread the gospel and further the Kingdom so much better, bigger, and faster.

STEPHANIE: I agree. And let’s dive even deeper into this.

There’s this belief, like you said, that money is evil, but actually if you look in the Bible, in I Timothy—go check it out, everybody—it says, “The love of money is evil.” So, that’s the issue—in the love of money; not making money but loving it.

ALLIE: And the original word, I probably should’ve looked it up before I came on here, but I dove into this because I went to a private Christian school as I grew up and I had a lot of messaging put in my head growing up, like “Money doesn’t grow on trees. Do you think I’m made of money? Money is hard to get. You’ll have to work hard or you’ll never make money. You have to go to college or you’ll never make money.” And these themes all form money blocks within our subconsciousness and those things will come when you come up against them, so proving people that I respected wrong really troubled me. Proving my dad wrong about college really held me back. I did go to college; I dropped out, got married, and disappointed him. And here I was on the brink of making more than he ever thought he could possibly make, that will bring up stuff for you for sure.

So I was feeling like I was on the precipice of greatness, but afraid to jump off. And I’m just sitting there talking with God like, “Why did you give me this? Why did you give me all of these ideas when it’s making me physically ill to think about being this person?”

This is very deeply rooted in everyone but specifically and worse in the Christian circle. And so I dove into that verse. I think it’s in I Timothy, maybe I’m wrong, the money verse and the original word used for love is…actually it would be better translated today as like “obsession.” So, the obsession over money is the root of all evil. And let’s think about that. What fuels most crime? The obsession with money. The seeking after, the greed, greed for money. Murders and robberies, even sometimes rape is involved in the pursuit of somebody’s money. A lot of affairs, and breaking your commitment to your partner comes from the pursuit, the chasing, the obsession of money.

But if we look at it, money only has the value and the beliefs on it that we give it. And so really money is inanimate. It’s a tool. And just like any other tool, it can be used for good or evil. And you know, honestly, Stephanie, the bad guys have had money for far too long. And we need some good guys to get up and get rich to change the world. Can you stop hunger without money? No. Can you really stop sex trafficking, the epidemic of the modern world, without money? No. You only have so much time to give, but money is an unlimited tool and resource.

We see cash so rarely now. Money is invisible. It’s digital. It exists because we say it does. It’s literally an overabundance of money. It’s everywhere. It’s passing through us and being exchanged all the time. Outside of my window there’s a shopping center and thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars are being exchanged right now as we talk. It’s everywhere all the time. It’s just a tool. It’s powerful and it makes the world go round.

So why are we afraid again? Why are we acting like, “Oh, I’m not in it for the money. I just want to help people.” Well, you help people by having a lot of money.

STEPHANIE: Yes! Thank you for sharing that and I think my listeners need to hear that. I needed to hear that. My husband and I talk about this a lot because I think, like you said, obsession is the problem. We are trying to build wealth for our future, for our children’s future, the world, the community around us, and the greater community. That’s why we’re doing it. And I like that you said it’s a tool.

And so, where I was going next was wondering how do you make sure that you don’t fall into the trap of materialism or, in I Timothy it says, “Don’t be obsessed,” like you said, “Don’t love money.” And how do you as a successful Christian business owner, building this wealth, how do you keep money in its place?

Because I think that’s a lot of people’s fear is that, “Okay, what if it changes me? What if I make all this money and it changes me? How do I not fall into the trap of being materialistic and letting it go to my head?” I’m wondering if you have some practical tips for Christians, specifically, who want to build wealth, who actually have that desire and want to go there, but they’re a little worried. They want to keep money in its place and use it as the tool that it is for good instead of the cause for greed for themselves. Could you just speak to that a little bit?

ALLIE: Yeah, I have a couple of things I want to say before I get to practical tips, but if I forget, bring me back to that.

I want to say I had this in me a lot, too. I’ve heard it so many times and I want to address it. The whole thought of, “What if money changes me?” Look, money is going to change you because it changes your life. If it’s a tool and it makes the entire world go round, and you suddenly get a whole lot of it and pursue gaining it to make the world a better place, how is that not going to change you? And why does that change only have to be bad?

Why is it like, “Oh, we all are seeking money. We’re all seeking promotion. We’re all looking to make sure we have a car that works, a roof over our heads, and food for our family, but we’re not pursuing money.” Like it’s dirty to pursue money? Why? That doesn’t make any sense. Everybody is pursuing money.

I think that there’s this mindset of saying that you’re in the pursuit of money is dirty. People tell me all the time, “I see you in your success. I see that, but I don’t want to be rich. I just want to have everything that I need and not have to worry. I don’t want to be rich. I just want to give to nonprofits here and there. I don’t want to be rich.” And it’s like, “Sweetie, you want to be rich.”

Being rich, being wealthy means that you are living a full, abundant life. Look up the meaning of the word ‘wealth’ especially before this century. The earlier century meaning of ‘wealth’ is wholeness, wellness. Your life is abundant. What you’re describing is being rich.

I think we need to get away from this mindset of ‘money’s going to change me.’ Money is paper. It’s nothing. It’s not even paper hardly ever anymore. It’s invisible. It’s a tool and you’re assigning it power. Don’t do that. It only has the power we give it. So, if you don’t want to be a jerk when you are rich, don’t be a jerk. You could be a jerk right now. You could be a broke jerk. Money didn’t make you a jerk; you made you a jerk. It’s just ridiculous. I think we need to stop the talk about money. We are passing that down to our children.

All right, beautiful. I want to pause here for a second and get real with you for just a quick sec. I know that some of you are out there and you’re listening to this episode right now…

Maybe you’re washing dishes, maybe you’re folding laundry, maybe you’re driving, maybe you’ve got your headphones in and you’re trying to tune the kids out for a second. But you have a business and you have a dream and it’s not aligning.

It’s not growing the way you want it to grow. It’s not going the way you want it to go.

But you believe in it and you’re in the hustle phase.

You have goals of making this something that sustains your lifestyle, provides for your family, fulfills you immensely and goes along cohesively with your personal life and your family. And you don’t want to sacrifice your family for growing your business and vice versa.

I want to encourage you! I have walked this road before and I have walked it with a lot of mistakes and a lot of crazy speed bumps I didn’t know I was going to hit, but I ended up walking it successfully and I want to encourage you that you can absolutely have both!

I can confidently say that I have an amazing marriage that I work very hard to cultivate positivity in. I’m present in my marriage and my relationships. I’m present with my kids and my family. I don’t work very much and yet my company is quickly turning into a very powerful empire that I am so proud of.

I want to work with you. I want to work with women who have a dream and a belief in their purpose but are struggling to know how to make it profitable and to make it a profitable reality that will serve the world, fulfill them, and align with the lifestyles that you want. I want to help you build a business around the life you want, not the other way around.

I did that. I took an idea, I mixed it up with my passion and I turned it into a multiple seven-figure company in less than two years and I am ready to guide you down that same road with a lot less speed bumps and hurdles than I hit.

Like I said in the beginning of this episode, I really believe in the balance between strategy and spirit. There is strategy that you need to implement, that we can tweak to make things better logically, but also there’s mindset work, money blocks, fear and things like that that we’re going to need to work through.

I want to do this with you. I want to be in that with you. I want to do this together!

What I want you to do is go to alliecasazza.com/businesscoaching and just check it out. I invested in multiple coaches on my path to growing my business and it is only when you invest that you truly begin to grow because you’ve got skin in the game. You did something freaking scary.

One of my clients that I’m about to wrap up with in the next couple of weeks – she took out a loan to work with me. My previous client cleared out her savings to work with me and they are both turning their businesses into profitable realities and that makes me so happy!

If you’re willing to show up, do the work, listen and learn, you are going to love working with me and I want to work with you!

Alliecasazza.com/businesscoaching. Let’s see if we can work together, if we’re going to be a good fit.

Listen, at this point I only have two spots open because, like I said earlier, I don’t do business coaching as a sustaining thing for my business that I rely on. It is on the side. It is extra.

I have significantly high fees because I am one of the best and I am confident about that. I can lead you to where you want to go. I know what to do. I know how to balance this entrepreneur thing with motherhood, which not a lot of people get that. It is different. It is harder.

I’ve got two open spots, two clients that I’ve wrapped up that I’m ready to fill their spots with you, but you gotta be ready. You gotta say yes! You have to fill out the form. You’ve got to get in touch with us so we can hear from you and find out if we are meant to work together.

alliecasazza.com/businesscoaching

ALLIE: “Don’t be in it for the money.” I’m going off again. I’m trying to make a point, but it matters. Last Christmas we were walking around and looking at Christmas lights with another family that are dear friends of ours. They are one of the only people in our lives that when we became incredibly wealthy after being incredibly broke, they did not leave. So I love them and that relationship has not changed. But we were walking with them and her little boy said something like, “I want to be a missionary and go to China, but first I’m going to have to become a millionaire so I can give everybody Bibles.” And I was thinking, I was about to say, “Oh my gosh, that is so amazing.” And before I could get a word out his mother, my friend, said, “Oh, why are you focused on the money? Don’t focus on money. Just be a missionary and give everyone Bibles.” And I’m walking, biting down on my tongue physically, because that was the money block she just planted in her son’s brain that he will never forget. Even if he does consciously, subconsciously it will always be there.

Why did she say that? She was embarrassed in front of me that he was pursuing money, that he would say that. She was panicked. She was interrupting, “Oh, don’t pursue money. Just give out some Bibles.” Well, how the heck is he supposed to give all of China Bibles if he doesn’t have any freaking money? It’s ridiculous. She’s not ridiculous. This belief that is so embedded in our society that people just say these things off-hand without thinking.

And so, all of that to say that money has changed me. Yes, it has made me a more generous person because I’m not worried about getting toothpaste. I’m worried about stopping the men that wait at the gates of Ethiopian orphanages, beating them to it, snatching those girls up, and giving them business ideas, housing, and food. That’s what I’m worried about. And money did that to me.

So yeah, money changed me. And God gave me money because He needed me to change in that way, because the world needs more good people with a lot of money.

So, let’s just get that out for anyone listening—stop worrying that money is going to change you. You can be the worst person, right now in your broke self. Money doesn’t do that to you; you do that to you.

I think the core of your question and the question that people want to know is, “How do you have the ability to buy things and not get sucked into that?” I think it’s been a journey for me because we were so broke. I never got to go to Target and look around, “Is there anything here that I want?” It was like, “I need bobby pins and I literally might have to consider swiping them into my purse because I can’t buy them.” I know that’s super wrong, but those thoughts crossed my mind because they had to. I didn’t have anything.

And so, being able to go to Target, go to Free People, Anthropologie, the mall, and all these places and know I could buy whatever I want…yeah, that’s a lot. It’s hard. It’s weird. It’s easy to get obsessive and go way off the deep end because you were so suppressed and oppressed for so long.

But I think it all comes down to where are you spending your thoughts? What are you spending your thoughts on? Not your money. What are you spending your thoughts on? If you spend your thoughts on heart, purpose, people and profit so that you can help more people, then you just don’t really get like that. I have a nice car. I have clothes that I love. I have a beautiful home and I spend money decorating it and making it a place I want to spend my time. I created an abundant life for my family as I’m also creating an abundant life for other people who don’t have the means to do that for themselves.

There’s nothing wrong with having nice things and enjoying life. There’s nothing wrong with that. But I think it’s about the heart. Why do you want to buy that thing? What is the motive behind it? Are you covering up something? Are you trying to prove something?

There was a situation that happened a couple of years ago and we were having this dinner party and one of the men at the dinner party at our house was saying, “So how’s the blog going? Is it still $1 million for basically doing nothing,” or something like that. “Are you still making a million dollars for basically doing nothing?” And I was fine, but my husband was not fine. He got upset and they started talking. And the guy was like, “I just don’t even know if you really have millions of dollars…”

Which, the only reason they know this is because I get interviewed about it and they Google me. We’re not out there talking about anything, showing anyone anything. You know, when you have a friend that has influence, you Google them, they find things, people figure it out and that’s fine.

But he’s like, “I just think it’s all BS. If you were at this level, you would live in a better house by now.” And so it goes back to this idea that what you have equals what you make. Why? We choose to live simply right now at this phase in our life. We want to live in a normal, easy to manage house. I don’t want to clean it. I don’t want to hire people to clean. I just want to be simple. Why do the items that we have reflect how much we make?

And I think when you believe that, when you believe that what you have reflects your worth and your value on how successful you are, that’s when you get in the cycle of buying and materialism, over-consumerism and proving to everybody, “I made it. I’m successful.”

So I just don’t care. I mean it comes up sometimes, but I deal with it. I pray through that and I am honest with God about my heart and I just get back to what really matters here. I would rather really give it away and have what I need and nice things that I enjoy, but I don’t need at this point to spend money on a giant house. I am raising kids. I just want to keep things simple and manageable and that’s what I’ve chosen.

Does that make sense? If we get out of that mindset of what you have equals how successful you are. And doesn’t that make sense? If you see a BMW driving down the street, you think something about that person. But what if they are really in debt? What if tomorrow that’s getting repossessed? And then the fact that we just have a nice, normal Yukon GMC family car, that equals, “Oh, they’re normal” Why? What if we’re just not stupid?

STEPHANIE: That’s awesome!

ALLIE: All of this comes down to the problem of what we believe about money. And to change what’s happening in the world, to change what’s happening in you and the struggles you’re having creating wealth, you’ve got to change that storyline.

We—my husband and I—are living a completely different set of beliefs than our Christian friends when it comes to money and wealth and that shows. It shows in our bank account. It shows in our giving. It shows in our hearts. And honestly it shows on our faces because when you don’t worry about money and you know you’re making an impact, you just shine. There is so much to wake up for. It’s so much joy. And I believe that I am called to pursue wealth because I can do way more good with that than without it.

STEPHANIE: I love that! Thank you. Wow.

I wrote down something because I want to go back to this and think about this after our conversation. My husband and I talk about this so much and I love the idea of a mindset and I love your idea of, “What is your motive?” I think as listeners, everybody listen up. I want everyone who is listening right now to write this down. What is your mindset? Where’s your heart at? Why do you want to pursue wealth? Why do you not want to pursue wealth? Think about your motive and the heart behind it. I just love the idea of really introspecting. I’m such a journaler. So, just that idea of what is your mindset about wealth and getting over some of those money blocks and being able to do good with it, not being worried that it’s going to change you for the worse. I think a lot of times money actually just makes you more of who you are.

ALLIE: Yes. Because you can give more, you can be more of that without the worry and the oppressiveness of brokeness.

STEPHANIE: Yeah, like you said, you can shine. You can use it for good. Is there anything else you wanted to share with my lovely listeners today? A takeaway or to wrap this up? Anything else that has really been on your heart that you feel like God wants to share, wants you to share at this moment?

ALLIE: I think that when it comes to this conversation, I think this is very overwhelming and a lot of people listening might just feel like, “Oh my gosh, my brain is overwhelmed with all of this.” And I just want to encourage you, go and sit with this. Write out things, like what Stephanie said, write it out or put it in your phone notes. Type it out if you’re not a writer. But just get it out of your head and onto paper or a screen and look at it for what it is.

I did this a lot when I was working through my money blocks. My biggest one was the college thing and disappointing my dad or proving him wrong. And then the deserving thing like, “Oh, I don’t deserve money.” And by the way, that all comes back to none of us deserve any of this and we’re all just here under grace. So just do it all. Go all in. You don’t deserve to even be breathing so you might as well just be super loaded and change the world. Just go all in. You’re already here.

Get all your thoughts out. What’s coming up for you? Did something that I say upset you or bring up a feeling in your throat, a lump in your throat? Like, “I don’t know why but I don’t like that,” or “That is hard for me to hear.” Why? Why is it hard for you? Where are your money blocks? Where are your stopping points? If money is just like currency, if it’s just a tool, it’s energy, it’s nothing else, then where does the money flow stop in you because you have a block? Find those things, write them out, and look at that sentence.

“If I become a millionaire without college, I will prove my dad wrong and humiliate him.” That was mine. And I would look at that sentence, read it, understand it, and then I would write out an affirmation that countered it. That was the truth of God in my life. And say that out loud every day, multiple times a day. And that is how you bust down a money block. Just by doing that.

There’s business strategy, there’s wealth building strategy and all of that stuff, but it’s almost nothing compared to if you just do this. If you just bust through your money blocks, speak life, and make a way for money to flow into your life, it just does. It just finds a way to do that.

STEPHANIE: Thank you for sharing that because I was actually gonna say that I close with an action item always, and I think that sounds like a great action item for all of you lovely listeners out there. Write down your money block, either pen to paper or notes in your phone. I do that a lot. Or on the computer, whatever. Write it out, write out all your money blocks.

Then I like the idea of then writing out those affirmations and speaking them out loud. Wouldn’t you say speaking them out loud makes a bigger difference than just reading them?

ALLIE: Oh, absolutely. It’s all about the words you say because we’re created in God’s image and He spoke everything into existence. He gave us an amount of that power and when we speak something out that is what forms our reality. You can look into this and research it. There’s books written about this. It’s a fact. God made a living, responsive world. Our bodies are living and there’s energy flowing through us. Our bodies are responsive and the world responds to us. It’s so important that you just start to tear this wall down and get connected to your truth and connected to money in a more positive way.

STEPHANIE: Thank you so much! That is so helpful and thank you so much for your time, Allie! I love talking with you. I feel like we could talk about this for another hour. I really, really enjoy hearing you speak from your heart. I really, really appreciate that about you and I know we’ll be talking more soon.

ALLIE: Yeah, definitely!
