Hey friends! Today, we’re diving deep into a powerful topic—stepping into your future self to create the life you truly want. If you’ve been feeling stuck or like you’re just not where you want to be, this post is for you. We’re going to blend teachings from Neville Goddard and Abraham Hicks—two incredible thought leaders whose work has profoundly impacted my journey. If you’re new to them, I highly recommend doing some research and diving into their teachings.

Acting As If: Creating Your Reality from the Inside Out

One of the core concepts from Neville Goddard’s teachings is the idea of “living in the end,” which means embodying the emotions and mindset of your desired future as if it’s already happening. Essentially, your current state of being attracts your future reality. This is echoed in Abraham Hicks’ teachings about vibrational alignment, where like attracts like. The idea is that to bring something into your life, you must first match the frequency of that desire.

Let’s say you dream of being wealthy and supporting causes you’re passionate about, like helping children in need or rescuing animals. But in your current reality, it feels impossible—you’re barely making ends meet. If you constantly think, “There’s no way I can ever make enough money to do these things,” you’re reinforcing that belief, and that’s exactly what you’ll continue to experience.

Now, what if you started acting as if you were already living that reality? You’d research the organizations you want to support, visualize the impact you’re making, and imagine the conversations you’d have about your contributions. This shift isn’t about pretending you have what you don’t. It’s about embodying the energy of having it. This subtle change in your mindset and actions can open doors you didn’t even know were there.

My Personal Experience: Turning Pain into Power

When I was at my lowest, going through the toughest year of my life, I let everything that was happening destroy me. I was struggling with trauma, the end of my marriage, and losing friendships. My energy was rooted in lack, fear, and self-doubt. I acted as if my life was over. And guess what? That’s exactly what I kept experiencing.

But then I made a conscious choice to shift. Instead of letting my circumstances dictate my reality, I decided to act as if all these challenges were actually the stepping stones to my comeback story. I started showing up differently, taking actions from a place of power rather than fear, and everything began to shift upward. I was living from a place of abundance, healing, and possibility.

How to Step Into Your Future Self

So, how do you actually start acting as if? Here are some practical steps you can take right now to align with your future self and start creating the reality you want:

1. Shift Your Habits

Ask yourself, “What would my future self do today?” This is about breaking old patterns and creating new ones that align with your desires. Start small—whether it’s setting a new morning routine or saying no to something that drains your energy.

2. Dress and Present Yourself as That Person

This isn’t about wearing fancy clothes if that’s not your style. It’s about showing up in a way that makes you feel empowered and aligned. How would your future self take care of her skin, her hair, her body? Start integrating those habits now.

3. Change Your Language

Your words are powerful. Speak as if your desires are already in motion. Instead of saying, “I wish I could…” say, “I’m so excited that I’m…” It’s a subtle shift but it has a huge impact on your mindset.

4. Create Your Environment

Your surroundings matter. Declutter your space, surround yourself with positive energy, and consume content that uplifts and inspires you. What does your future self’s environment look like? Start making small changes to bring your current space into alignment.

5. Mindset Shifts

Whenever doubts creep in, remind yourself: “This is temporary. I am actively on my way to [your desired outcome].” Reframe your thoughts and choose to focus on what feels good and aligns with your future vision.

Overcoming Obstacles

When you feel doubt or hit a roadblock, persistence is key. Neville Goddard emphasizes the importance of persistently assuming your desired state, while Abraham Hicks talks about contrast as an opportunity to refine what you want. Every challenge is a chance to get clearer on your desires and elevate your energy.

Remember, your imagination is your most powerful tool. Use it to visualize the life you want, embody the emotions of that reality, and take inspired action from that place. You’re not chasing your dreams—you’re attracting them by becoming the person who has them.
